Blogs suck at facilitating discussion. The First Drop is about much more than publishing articles and allowing replies. With an anticipated 30 contributors and thousands of members, we want to push the boundaries in understanding how website design promotes involved discussion. We’re looking for unique ways to celebrate user interaction and foster a community culture. Want to be a part of it? Have something to say? Awesome. We’re looking for about 30 passionate young contributors, from virtually any Canadian background. We don’t care if you’re a journalist or a janitor, a student or a sandwich artist - if you can write a solid, informed piece then we’re interested in hearing from you. Subject matter will be largely your choice, within a few broad guidelines (sorry, we don’t care where Paris Hilton was last week!). In fact, instead of restricting our contrib utors to a subject area, we feel strongly that Canada needs the opposite: wide-ranging and competing views in one spot. Sound interesting?
